Sergeant Lloyd Fenner

  • 2003- Completes gruelling 30 week Commando training course to become a Royal Marine
  • 2005- Operational tour of Iraq
  • 2006-2007- Back-to-back tours of the Helmand District, Afghanistan
  • 2008- Promoted to rank of Corporal
  • 2008- Receives the ‘True Grit’ Award at the Sun’s yearly Military Awards on behalf of the Viking branch
  • 2012- Promoted to Sergeant
  • 2013- Leads first Viking deployment to Norway

The Gumpathon charity event involved a team of 6 Marines running a total of 3,530 miles from coast to coast across the United Sates of America.

The event raised money for The Royal Marines Association, Help for Heroes and The US Semper Fi American charity.
